Eye Hollows | Tear Trough
Some practitioners have advanced skills and are well-trained to inject under the eyes using a tiny needle and/or cannula. This area is treated to brighten the tired looking under eye area. This treatment can give beautiful natural results when done by an experienced trained practitioner.

How are dermal fillers administered?
Dermal fillers are injected either with a fine needle or a cannula, or a combination of both. Cannulas do not cut through the skin’s tissue, but glide gently through instead.
How quickly can results be seen?
As with all dermal filler treatments, the results can be seen immediately.

What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are made from a pure Hyaluronic Acid (HA) gel. They help to hydrate and add volume when injected into the skin, ‘lifting’ the mid-fact and having a sculpting effect on cheekbones. The word ‘acid’ can sound scary as we hear about acids being bad. However, there a literally thousands of acids in the human body and it is just a biological term used to describe certain naturally occurring structures. Hyaluronic Acid is one of those biological structures and is a large part of what your skin and tissues are made of!
Are there any side effects?
There can be some bruising and swelling following treatment, but this can be greatly reduced by the use of a cool packs, good injecting techniques, and sometimes practitioners use arnica gel or cream, which a lot of surgeons recommend even though there may not be any ‘official’ studies which show it is effective quite yet.
Safety Assurance
Hyaluronic Acid gels have been shown to be safe if injected by properly trained professionals and it is very rare for people to have allergic reactions. However, please do tell your injector if you are prone to allergic reactions so they can ensure that emergency treatment is available if you begin to feel unwell.
